Yes! In addition to expert tree services, we offer seasonal work such as hedge trimming in the spring and fall, and professional Christmas light installation across the Vaudreuil-Soulanges and West Island areas.

Tree Care, Cleanup & Permits

Please reach us at info@treesandbeyond.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

In most cases, yes — a tree removal permit is required in towns like Saint-Lazare, Vaudreuil, Hudson, Rigaud, Valleyfield, Beaconsfield, Pincourt, and the West Island. However, you do not need a permit for tree trimming or pruning. Since every town is different (for example, Hudson is very strict about preserving the canopy, so expect their permit approval to take a few extra days), we can guide you through the process to ensure your project complies with local laws.

We offer full clean-up, wood chipping, and eco-friendly disposal. We can also leave wood chips and mulch on-site, or cut the tree up for firewood upon request. Our team focuses on sustainability and minimizing waste.

We use specialized equipment and safe techniques for difficult or high-risk jobs close to structures. However, if trees are too close to high-voltage hydro lines, Hydro-Québec may need to be contacted directly, as only authorized crews are allowed to work in those specific zones.

The best time to prune most trees is during their dormant season, typically in late winter or early spring before the buds open. However, dead, diseased, or hazardous branches should be removed immediately, regardless of the season.

Signs that a tree may need removal include large dead branches, a leaning trunk, visible root damage, deep cracks in the bark, or fungal growth. For example, we are currently seeing a lot of Ash trees in Saint-Lazare dying off from the Emerald Ash Borer, which makes them incredibly brittle and dangerous to climb. If you are unsure, our certified team can provide a free risk assessment.

Yes, we offer professional stump grinding services. We can grind the stump below ground level, allowing you to plant grass or reclaim the space, leaving your yard looking clean and finished.

We have proudly served the region since 2003. What began as a small family business has grown into a trusted name in the industry. With over 20 years of experience, you can trust us for safe, efficient, and expert tree care.
